Main tasks

  • Analyze and interpret data from weather stations, radars, and satellites.
  • Provide meteorological consultations to industrial sectors (aviation, marine, agriculture, etc.).
  • Disseminate forecasts to the public through radio, television, print, and the Internet.
  • Study the processes and factors that influence weather and climate.
  • Develop mathematical weather or climate models.
  • Analyze the impact of industrial projects and human activity on climate and air quality.
  • Develop mitigation strategies.
  • Give scientific conferences and publish reports, articles, or texts for the general public.
  • Participate in the design of meteorological data collection equipment and methods.
