These individuals assess patients’ physical capacity. They plan and execute treatments to maintain, improve, or restore their physical capacity and mobility.

Main tasks
- Assess the physical capabilities of individuals.
- Set treatment goals based on individuals’ physical condition.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and adjust physiotherapy programs.
- Communicate with other health care professionals about people’s difficulties, needs, and progress.
- Maintain clinical and statistical records.
- Develop and implement programs to promote health.
- Conduct physiotherapy research, if necessary.
- Provide consultation and education as required.
Advancement and mobility
- Experience and additional training are required to advance to management positions.
- Physiotherapists may practice in a variety of clinical areas (neurology, oncology, pediatrics, etc.) or in the treatment of various conditions (cardiovascular disorders, sports injuries, etc.).
