Job description

These individuals install, assemble, operate, and repair electronic equipment. They work for:

  • Radio and television stations
  • Broadcast equipment manufacturing companies
  • Communication service providers
  • Independent television producers

Main tasks

  • Ensure the quality of live and recorded broadcasts.
  • Produce sound and visual sequences using various equipment.
  • Carry out urgent hardware repairs and replace programming in case of signal failure.
  • Install, maintain, and repair broadcast equipment and software.
  • Adjust and operate the console controls to capture and select emission sources.
  • Broadcast programs and commercials on radio or television.
  • Supervise other technicians, as required.
