Automotive Sales Consultant

Job description

These individuals inform and advise customers who wish to buy or rent new or used automobiles. They work for new and used-car dealerships.

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Greet clients, assess their needs, and identify the vehicle model that suits them best.
  • Explain the product to customers.
  • Plan and conduct vehicle road tests.
  • Manage securing the sale or rental contract and delivering the vehicle.
  • Carry out after-sales service.
  • Represent the dealership during events.
  • Find new customers.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience or additional training leads to management positions.

Training and requirements

Formation

Most training programs are offered in French only.

Secondary

Also required

  • Class 5 driver’s licence.
