Job description

These individuals maintain a number of rental units in tourist accommodation establishments. They perform a variety of tasks to ensure the comfort of guests during their stay in the establishment and clean and prepare the units for new guests. They signal any repairs to be carried out in the establishment. They work for:

• Hotels
• Motels
• Inns
• Outfitters
• Resorts
• B&Bs

• Controlled ambient temperature
• Hazardous chemical
• Biological agents
• Odours
• Nontoxic dust

Main tasks

• Prepare the necessary equipment for the maintenance of the assigned premises.
• Prepare several rental units for cleaning.
• Clean bathrooms and bedrooms.
  • Change bedding and make beds.
  • Dust furniture and vacuum carpets, rugs, drapes, and upholstered furniture.
  • Disinfect and clean sanitary facilities and floors.
  • Dispose of garbage.
• Distribute hospitality and hygiene products and note missing items, as required.
• Clean the rooms or accessories attached to the rental unit (kitchenette, whirlpool, fireplace, etc.).
• Check the condition of the furniture and report any unusual situations.
