Job description

These individuals adjust, assemble, and construct heavy industrial machinery and transportation equipment.

Main tasks

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and diagrams to determine assembly procedures.
  • Fit and assemble prefabricated metal parts to build machinery and industrial equipment.
  • Move and align machine subsets and components.
  • Install large components (gearboxes, pumps, motors, etc.).
  • Check parts, subsets and finished products for quality control.

  • Experience leads to supervisory positions.
