Job description

These individuals assemble, install, and repair glass products and other substitute materials on buildings. They also install metal fronts, doors, windows, and decorations. They mainly work for commercial, institutional, and residential construction companies.

Main tasks

• Assemble and install aluminum anchors and doors.
• Operate various lifting equipment.
• Conduct inspections and work from platforms.
• Take measurements and pass them on to the supervisor.
• Read and interpret plans and technical drawings.
• Coordinate the tasks of a work team, as required.

• Certificate of qualification.

• A Class 5 driver’s licence is often required.
