Road Vehicle Dismantlers

Job description

These individuals dismantle end-of-life road vehicles in compliance with environmental standards. They sell parts from damaged or end-of-life vehicles or reuse them on other vehicles. They work for companies specializing in recycling vehicles.

Main tasks

Drain fluids (e.g. oils) from vehicles.
Recover parts, raw materials, and fluids from vehicles.
Dismantle and identify road vehicle parts (mechanical parts, bodies, cockpits, etc.).
Clean and prepare parts for shipping or storage.

Advancement and mobility

Experience leads to supervisory positions.
