Plastic Moulding Machine Operator-Adjuster

Job description

These individuals set up and operate machines used to mould plastic parts and products. They work for manufacturers of products made from this material.

Main tasks

  • Set up and operate machines that mould plastic products according to the specifications received.
  • Replace moulds and adjust equipment.
  • Investigate the cause of breakdowns.
  • Maintain equipment and make minor repairs.
  • Check product quality and adjust machine controls as required.
  • Mix batches of injection moulding ingredients.
  • Maintain inventory of materials and clean work area.

Advancement and mobility
