Job description
These individuals carry out technical tasks related to forest research, management, exploitation, and protection. They help plan the construction of access roads and forest paths. They direct and supervise silvicultural activities (tree planting, stand inventories, measurements, etc.). They ensure environmental protection regulations are respected and enforced. They are self-employed or work for:
- Silvicultural and forestry companies
- Forest protection and conservation organizations
- Wood producers’ unions and associations
- Federal and provincial governments
- Consulting firms
- Educational and research institutions .
