Job description
These individuals coordinate and supervise the work of the personnel responsible for patient care. They work in health care institutions (hospitals, clinics, etc.).

Main tasks
- Supervise the work of the nursing staff.
- Assess the needs of the people being cared for and ensure that they receive the care they require.
- Coordinate nursing services with other health services.
- Ensure the quality of nursing care and compliance with administrative procedures.
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures.
- Manage the nursing unit budget and ensure the availability of products and equipment.
- Participate in the selection, evaluation, and professional development of nursing staff.
- Take part in research projects.
- Provide patient care, as required.
