Job description

These individuals research, verify, comment, and communicate news and public affairs. These are intended to be disseminated through various media. They are self-employed or work for:

  • Newspapers
  • Reviews
  • Radio or television stations

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

  • Hazardous workplaces

Main tasks

  • Gather information through interviews, surveys, or observations.
  • Analyze and verify the accuracy of news received.
  • Write news items for publication or broadcast.
  • Arrange interviews for radio and television programs.
  • Research and report on innovations in various fields (medicine, science, technology, etc.).
  • Write texts (columns, specialized articles, editorials, comments) on various topics of interest.
  • Write reviews of literary, musical, or artistic works according to their skills.

Advancement and mobility

  • Experience leads to editing positions (print media) or directing positions (electronic media).
