Job description

These individuals offer a range of facial and body treatments for aesthetic purposes. They treat minor problems deemed undesirable (cellulite, rosacea, superfluous hair, etc.). They are self-employed or work for:

  • Hairdressing or beauty salons
  • Beauty institutes and clinics
  • Health spas
  • Hotels
  • Electrolysis studios
  • Medical or dermatological clinics
  • Hair care and hair transplant clinics
  • Tanning Salons
  • Fitness centres
  • Cruise ships
  • Supermarkets (beauty products department)

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature
  • Odours

Main tasks

  • Perform aesthetic treatments on different parts of the body (face, neck, back, hands, nails, etc.).
  • Apply makeup on clients.
  • Carry out manicures and pedicures.
  • Remove hair from body areas.
  • Apply nails and eyelashes.
  • Carry out an examination of the skin, nails, or hair.
  • Advise customers on the services and products offered as well as hygiene and makeup.
  • Ensure the maintenance of order and hygiene in the workplace.

Most training programs are offered in French only.
