Main tasks
Tailors
- Make custom-made clothing (suits, coats, etc.) according to customer and manufacturer specifications.
- Draw patterns.
- Mark, cut, and sew fabric.
- Fit, alter, and repair garments as required.
Dressmakers
- Make clothes.
- Select and modify commercial patterns according to customer and manufacturer specifications.
- Mark, cut, and sew fabric.
- Modify or repair clothing as required.
Furriers
- Make, transform, and repair natural fur clothing and accessories.
Milliners
- Stretch, cut, sew, and press various materials (fabric, leather, etc.).
- Design and make accessories (e.g. hats).
Retouchers
- Fit, transform, and repair clothing according to customer requests
