Mouldmaking Machinists
Job description
These individuals assemble the parts that make up moulds based on drawings and indications. They must be able to visualize the mould as a whole and not just one of its components at a time. They work in factories.

Main tasks
- Program numerically controlled machine tools.
- Use numerically controlled machine tools and conventional machine tools to make mould components.
- Select the machining processes to be used.
- Select the appropriate work tools.
- Ensure the quality of the machined parts.
- Operate different machines (e.g. milling machines).
- Test the moulds.
- Maintain and repair the moulding tools.
- Possess advanced knowledge of the materials processed using the mould.
- Manufacture, as required, forming tools and electrodes.
