Job description
These individuals install insulation materials in various locations (walls, floors, plumbing systems, etc.). Their work prevents or reduces the passage of heat, cold, noise, or fire.
Environment

Main tasks
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine the quantity and type of materials required.
- Measure, cut, apply, and fasten insulation materials.
- Place insulation around obstacles, between beams, etc.
- Install vapour barriers.
- Apply water-repellent cement on insulation materials.
- Remove hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos) from buildings, as required.
Advancement and mobility
- Qualified Insulators obtain a Red Seal endorsement upon successful completion of the Interprovincial Examination.
- Experience leads to supervisory positions.

The hourly wage is calculated by averaging wages from 2020 to 2022.- Minimum
