Elevator Mechanics
Job description
These individuals install, repair, restore, and maintain mechanical conveyor systems (elevators, moving walkways, escalators, etc.). They identify defects in an elevator’s electrical, electronic, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. They work for:
- Manufacturers of elevators and related equipment
- Companies specialized in maintaining and repairing elevators and related equipment
- Companies specialized in the installation of mechanical conveyor systems
- Real estate companies
- Construction companies
