Pest Controllers
Job description
These individuals inspect buildings for harmful and destructive pest infestations (insects, rodents, etc.). They spray chemicals and set traps to capture and remove animals. They are self-employed or work for pest control companies.

Main tasks
- Inspect the interior and exterior of buildings for signs of infestation.
- Identify the main organisms and undesirable animals.
- Determine the type of treatment required and assess the costs.
- Prepare and spray a chemical mixture on infested areas.
- Fumigate (disinfect) houses.
- Install traps to capture and remove animals (skunks, raccoons, etc.).
- Install barriers to keep animals away from properties.
- Clean the places frequented by vermin.
- Advise customers on infestation prevention.
- Conduct follow-ups after interventions.
