Main tasks
- Plan, direct, control, and evaluate activities or services.
- Develop and implement schedules and programs to ensure production targets are met.
- Prepare and manage budgets for factories or production departments.
- Plan and carry out changes to the production system and work methods.
- Prepare equipment maintenance schedules; recommend and supervise machine replacement.
- Hire, train, and supervise staff, as required.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods, as required.
- Provide quality control and draft production reports, as required.
