Job description
These individuals develop and finish photographs and cinematographic films.
Environment
- Controlled ambient temperature
- Hazardous chemical
Main tasks
- Measure and mix the chemicals needed for image development.
- Use devices that develop negatives and slides and transfer images.
- Enlarge photographs from negatives.
- Operate equipment for developing cinematographic film.
- Inspects rolls of photographic prints or rolls of cinematographic film for compliance and defects.
- Alter photographic negatives or original prints to remove defects.
- Glue films and mount them on reels.
Advancement and mobility
- There is mobility for certain positions within this group.
- Access to laboratory development positions for automated equipment operators is available.
