Industrial Production Painters
Job description
These individuals apply liquid or powder coatings (e.g. paint) to parts and products manufactured in factories. They work for:
- Workshops specialized in the application of liquid or powder coatings
- Precision sheet metal manufacturers
- Manufacturers of machinery, aerospace products, and industrial equipment
Environment
- Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks
- Select the appropriate paint or paint mixture for the work to be done.
- Prepare the objects to be painted or covered, remove rust, and fill the hollows.
- Use hand guns to paint objects attached to or moving on a conveyor.
- Paint small objects and do touch-ups with a brush.
- Clean and maintain equipment.
- Prepare and apply stencils and layers on finished products.

- Experience leads to supervisory positions.
