Obtain Employment Assistance as a Recipient of Social Assistance, Social Solidarity, Aim for Employment or Basic Income
Through this social assistance and support program, you can take part in a variety of activities in a learning environment.
For recipients of financial assistance under a social assistance program, this step may be a prerequisite for taking part in an employment assistance program.
Eligibility
To be eligible, you must receive financial assistance under one of the following programs:
- Social Assistance Program
- Social Solidarity Program
- Aim for Employment Program
- Basic Income Program
How the Program Works
The program is made up of different activities designed to help you develop your social skills.
Several themes are addressed during the activities, such as
- Interpersonal relations
- Conflict resolution
- Personal life organization
- Budget planning
- Lifestyle habits
Program Length
The program is 20 hours a week. Gradual entry into the program is also possible, depending on your needs. Participation in the program can be spread over several years.
Financial Assistance
You could receive financial assistance that includes
- a support allowance of $173 per month, in addition to the financial assistance provided under the Social Assistance Program, the Social Solidarity Program, the Aim for Employment Program or the Basic Income Program;
- reimbursement of transportation or childcare expenses (if applicable to your situation).
