To be recognized, your civil union must be solemnized in accordance with the rules, which cover all aspects of the ceremony.

You and your intended spouse are free to choose the place where your civil union will be solemnized.

Time and language of the marriage ceremony

Depending on the place you have chosen, there may be some time restrictions. Also, the officiant must perform the ceremony in French or English.
