The mission of recognized educational childcare services (childcare centre, day care centre and home-based childcare) is to support children’s overall development. To provide quality service, they must:
- recognize children’s needs and respond to them with interventions appropriate for their age and development stages.
- create a warm, safe environment, with a variety of material and spaces designed for the well-being of children and staff alike.
- propose stimulating activities, free play and routines that respect toddlers’ rhythms.
- collaborate with parents, fostering a relationship of trust, open communication and respect for family realities.
Quality childcare is a place where children flourish, surrounded by caring adults who work in partnership with families.
