Mission and mandates of Québec Government Office in Seattle

Opened in 2025, the Québec Delegation in Seattle is tasked with developing and strengthening Québec's political and institutional relations in the American Pacific Northwest, as well as supporting Québec businesses' exports and attracting foreign direct investment to Québec. It focuses on the key sectors of aerospace, environment and green economy, transportation, information and communication technologies, innovation and life sciences. The Delegation performs its mission in the six American states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Montana, Washington and Wyoming.

• Provide strategic information and assistance to Québec companies seeking potential buyers, distributors and partners in the US Pacific Northwest markets.
• Foster partnerships and strategic alliances between Québec and U.S. companies.
• Organize conferences and seminars on trade between Québec and the U.S. market.
• Monitor market and regional economic trends.
• Participate in local trade shows and economic events.

Investissement Québec services are as follows:

• Provide guidance to companies and investors on the Québec business environment (regulations, taxation, etc.) and on government assistance available for investments.
• Facilitate the establishment in Québec of companies with expansion projects in strategic sectors by providing guidance, funding and access to targeted fiscal measures.
• Offer a range of services to international companies with subsidiaries in Québec.

Our Public Affairs services are as follows: 

• Maintain relations with political institutions and regional organizations.
• Provide linkage between Québec and American officials during political and trade missions.
• Provide information about Québec to the general public, business community, governments and local media with.
• Monitor strategic regional issues for Québec.
• Promote Québec culture and the Francophonie in the region.
• Promote Québec studies among American universities and develop connections between these institutions and those in Québec.
