Prix Reconnaissance jeunesse

The prix Reconnaissance jeunesse acknowledge the exemplary achievements of young people who contribute to making Quebec shine, as well as the exceptional contribution of youth workers who have distinguished themselves throughout their career by their commitment to young people.

Young People (15 to 35 years old)

People proposed in these categories must have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence and be between 15 and 35 years old.

Perseverance

The perseverance award recognizes the honoree's ability to accomplish actions through persistence and effort to achieve results of which they are proud, despite the difficulties encountered.

Success and Outreach

The Success and Outreach Award recognizes the honoree's ability to achieve a concrete and successful outcome through their actions and involvement. This success can be educational, professional or personal.

Indigenous Youth

This award is intended to recognize in a special way a young Indigenous person who stands out in his or her community or who contributes to making his or her community, identity and culture shine through his or her commitment and achievements.

Additional criteria: The proposed person must identify as a First Nations or Inuit member. A person who identifies as First Nations or Inuit may be nominated in any other categories.

Favourite

This award is given to a young person who stands out from all the other youth nominations received, in a particular way through his/her actions, involvement or commitment.

Youth Worker (18 years or older)

People proposed in these categories must have Canadian citizenship or permanent residence and be 18 years of age or older. They must also work in the community or institutional field and with a youth clientele aged 15 to 35.

Involvement

The Involvement Award is presented to a practitioner who, during his or her work, makes an outstanding contribution, gets involved and commits to young people by bringing positivity and confidence to those he or she works with.

Emmett-Johns

The award recognizes an individual's outstanding contribution to youth throughout their career. This award also honours the memory of the man known as Father Pops, who became a key player in the community and is recognized for his help with the most vulnerable youth.

Indigenous Youth Worker

This award is intended to give special recognition to a youth worker who contributes to the well-being of young Indigenous people in Quebec through his or her commitment, caring and achievements with them.

Additional criteria: The proposed person must identify as a First Nations or Inuit member. A person who identifies as First Nations or Inuit may be nominated in any other categories.

Selection criteria

The applications received will be analyzed by a committee of experts in the light of the following criteria:

  • Their contribution to achieving at least one of the seven areas of intervention in the 2025-2030 Youth Action Plan: employment, education, culture, entrepreneurship, environment, health and citizenship.
  • Their demonstration of the quality of the achievements, impact of the actions or an initiative, community recognition and originality.

The deadline for submitting all documents is December 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.
