Call for Mobilization, Development and Support of Indigenous youth projects

Call for projects closed

The call for projects closed on October 23, 2024.

The aim of this call for projects is to support projects that will encourage youth involvement in their communities, and that will be adapted to the realities of Indigenous people. It aims to support initiatives that will help youth flourish in all aspects of their lives (physical, emotional, mental and spiritual), and place Indigenous youth at the center of their development

It is part of the implementation of the 2022-2027 Government Action Plan for the social and Cultural Wellness of the First Nations and Inuit.

Objectives

The objectives of this call for projects are to:

  • contribute to the inclusion and involvement of Indigenous youth by offering them the opportunity to be active in their community and to take charge, based on their abilities, of the development and implementation of sustainable solutions adapted to their needs;
  • foster pride in identity, leadership among Indigenous youth and links between nations (including Quebec);
  • support the establishment of collaborations and projects between organizations working with Indigenous youth.

The initiatives supported must be consistent with the priorities identified by Indigenous youth and the organizations that work with them. Certain documents, research and consultation reports are available on request.

Funding of up to $50,000 may be requested for a one-year project.
