Deciding to have an abortion

Deciding whether to have an abortion is a personal choice. It is entirely up to the woman. She is free to make her own choice and does not need the permission of her partner or any other person to get an abortion. There are many reasons why a woman might choose to have an abortion. Each woman has her own reasons.

Support of health professionals

Choosing to terminate a pregnancy might cause you to feel emotions and have concerns. Don’t hesitate to speak with the health professionals so they can answer your questions. The medical staff offering abortion services respect each woman’s choice and do not judge. They provide the abortion services and follow-up with neutrality, respect and complete confidentiality.

Community organizations that help with making pro-choice decisions are available to help you. They can share tools for reflection with you and help you make the decision that is right for you.
