Vacation lot random draw

You can obtain a vacation lot on public land by participating in the annual random draw conducted by the Gouvernement du Québec, in collaboration with the delegated MRCs and the Sépaq.

The next random draw will take place in fall 2024.

Available lots

The lots available for lease each cover an average area of 4,000 m2 and are for the most part wooded, waterfront and accessible by land. Participants may only lease a single lot allocated by random draw per year.

Entry for draw

The 2023 random draw registration period is now over.

To take part in a random draw, you must:

Random draw procedure

The Sépaq conducts the random draw electronically in the days following the end of the registration period, under an external auditor's supervision.

Each participant will receive an email indicating their rank within 48 hours of the draw. This rank determines the order of land allotment for the next step.

Allotment

The MRCs conduct the allotment by invitation, in the order of the draw results. The number of participants likely to receive land is determined by the number of available lots. A letter or email of invitation will be sent to the selected participants informing them of the location and date of the allotment. Attendance of participants is required for the allotment of lots.

The government reserves the right to remove any lot from the random draw up to the time of the allotment.
