Vacation lot random draw

The annual random draw registration period is currently open from September 18 to October 24, 2021.

Citizens who want to obtain a vacation lot on public land may participate in the random draw conducted by the gouvernement du Québec, in collaboration with the delegated MRCs and the SÉPAQ. The lots each cover an average area of 4,000 m2 and are for the most part wooded, waterfront and accessible by land. Participants may only lease a single lot allocated by random draw per year.

Fees, registration and random draw process

Registration runs from September 18 to October 24, 2021. 

To take part in a random draw, you must:

  • Be 18 or older;
  • Fill out an official registration form on the Sépaq This hyperlink will open in a new window. website. You may also register by calling 1-800-655-6527. Only one registration is allowed per draw code;
  • Pay the non-refundable registration fee of $32.19 ($28 + GST and QST) per draw code.

Draw

The Sépaq This hyperlink will open in a new window. conducts the random draw electronically in the days following the end of the registration period, under an external auditor's supervision. Each participant will receive an email indicating their rank within 48 hours of the draw. This rank determines the order of land allotment for the next step.

Allotment

A letter or email of invitation will be sent to the selected participants informing them of the location and date of the allotment. Attendance of participants is required for the allotment of lots.

The gouvernement du Québec reserves the right to remove any lot from the random draw up to the time of the allotment.
