Beware of fraudulent solicitation
Remain vigilant against deceptive business practices and fraudulent solicitation. Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils is the only organization authorized to offer the services of the Éconologis program. If a person or business other than Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils contacts you to offer a visit from an advisor that you did not request, it could be an attempted fraud. Registration for the 2026-2027 season has now ended
Following the strong interest shown in Hydro-Québec’s offer of free heat pumps, the maximum visit capacity has been reached. All households that submitted a registration form will be contacted in the coming months by Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils to confirm their eligibility and schedule a visit under the Éconologis program.
The Éconologis program helps low-income households improve the comfort and energy efficiency of their homes during the winter.
It is a seasonal program offered each year, from October 1 to March 31.
Éconologis gives you free access to:
- personalized advice on how to reduce your energy consumption;
- light work to improve the comfort of your home.
Eligibility requirements
- You can be an owner or a tenant.
- You can register for Éconologis no matter what form of energy you use to heat your home (electricity, wood, etc.).
- The total income of all the occupants of your home (adults and children) must not exceed the qualifying income thresholds.

Program re-registration
- You are not eligible for the Éconologis program if you have already taken advantage of this program within the last five years.
- If you’ve moved, you may be eligible for the Éconologis program for your new home if you have not been registered for the program in the last three years.
Services offered
The services offered by the Éconologis program will improve the comfort of your home during the winter and help you stay warm.
They will help you better manage your energy consumption and reduce your environmental footprint.
Visit from an energy efficiency advisor
You will receive a visit from an energy efficiency advisor from Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils, the only organization authorized to offer the services of the Éconologis program. Here is how the visit will unfold:

The energy efficiency advisor will work with you to evaluate your home.
He or she will give you practical tips on how to save energy used for:
- Heating
- Hot water
- Household appliances
- Lighting, etc.
Depending on the needs identified, the advisor will do light work free of charge, such as:
- Caulking windows
- Installing weatherstripping at the bottom of doors
- Insulating electrical outlets on outside walls
- Installing low-flow showerheads
- Installing aerators on water taps
Annual installation of insulating plastic film
If you receive a disability benefit from the federal government and are eligible for the Éconologis program, you may also be eligible for the annual installation of plastic insulating film on your windows.
Discuss this with your advisor during his or her visit.

Registration has now ended for the 2026-2027 season.
All individuals who have already submitted an application will be contacted. The information they provided will be confirmed and they will be informed of the processing of their file.

Authorized Organization
The Éconologis program is offered in every region of Québec, in collaboration with organizations mandated by the Gouvernement du Québec.
Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils is the only organization authorized to offer the services of the Éconologis government program.
They will contact you only during the period determined and indicated by the Ministère on its web page.
Fraudulent solicitation
The Ministère does not make phone solicitations or door-to-door visits for the Éconologis program. If someone presents themselves to you as a representative of the Ministère when you have not requested it, it is probably a fraud.
Expertbâtiment Services-Conseils (the authorized organization) will not ask you for your personal information over the phone.
If in doubt, do not give out any confidential information, hang up and call us.
If you believe you have been a victim of fraudulent solicitation, here’s what you can do:
- Contact us without delay by email at Econologis@environnement.gouv.qc.ca or by phone at 1-866-266-0008.
- File a complaint with the
Office de la protection du consommateur . - Contact the police department in your municipality.
- Register with the National Do Not Call List by calling 1-866-580-DNCL (3625) or visiting
lnnte-dncl.gc.ca . This should prevent you from receiving further solicitation calls.

Participate in the LogisVert program
As part of its
Participation in the Éconologis program is a prerequisite for obtaining this equipment at no cost. During his or her visit to your home, the Éconologis advisor will forward your information to the Hydro-Québec team, who will determine if you are eligible for the LogisVert - Modest-Income Households program. Hydro-Québec will then contact you by email or phone to confirm your eligibility.
This component of LogisVert is financially supported by the Government of Canada, the Government of Quebec and Hydro-Québec.

If you are not satisfied with the services you received, we invite you to first contact the Éconologis program team. You can share your feedback or express your concerns by email at: econologis@environnement.gouv.qc.ca
If you are not satisfied with this first step, you can file a complaint with the Bureau de la transition climatique et énergétique, part of the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs.
Complaints are processed within 20 working days.
If, despite the intervention of the Bureau de la transition climatique et énergétique, you still believe you have been wronged by a decision or omission, you may submit a complaint for processing at a second instance to the Secrétariat général du ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs Parcs (MELCCFP).
A time frame of 20 working days also applies to the processing of these complaints.
About this program
The Éconologis program is administered by the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs. It is part of the implementation plan for the 2030 Plan for Green Economy.
Since its inception, more than 180,000 households have benefited free of charge from the Éconologis program.
Normative framework
The normative framework specifies the terms of the program, the conditions to be met, the eligibility criteria and all the administrative rules that apply. Its contents have legal value and prevail over all other documents and information published about the Éconologis program.
