Jury

In some criminal cases, a jury is called to hear a trial. The jury is generally made up of 12 jurors, selected at random from the list of electors.

if you are then selected as a jury member, you will have specific rights and obligations.

Applying for an exemption from jury duty

There are some situations in which you can be exempted from serving as a juror for a criminal trial, but you must apply for an exemption by completing the form you receive with your summons.
