QUÉBEC CITY, May 6, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 1,243 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,050,121*;
- 22 new deaths, for a total of 15,106 deaths;
- 7,337 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 2,051 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 68 compared to the previous day;
- 127 new entries,
- 195 new discharges;
- 60 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 4 compared to the previous day;
- 6 new entries,
- 10 new discharges;
- 16,518 samples conducted on May 4;
- 203,868 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 166,823 positive: 283 declared for yesterday, including 240 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 28,063 doses administered are added, that is 26,578 doses in the last 24 hours and 1 485 doses before May 5, for a total of 19,608,502 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 327,140 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 19,935,642 doses received by Quebecers.
