QUÉBEC CITY, May 9, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
- 622 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,052,637*;
- 4 new deaths, for a total of 15,143 deaths;
- 6,357 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
- 1,910 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 16 compared to the previous day;
- 85 new entries,
- 101 new discharges;
- 66 people in intensive care, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
- 9 new entries,
- 9 new discharges;
- 16,694 samples conducted on May 7;
- 205,281 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 166,046 positive: 255 declared for yesterday, including 208 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
- 7,650 doses administered are added, that is 7,586 doses in the last 24 hours and 64 doses before May 8, for a total of 19,661,686 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 328,291 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 19,989,977 doses received by Quebecers.
