You can access the Québec Firearms Registration Service (SIAF) online to apply for a firearm registration, track the status of your application, transfer ownership of a firearm.
Registering a firearm
Owners of non-restricted firearms must apply to register their weapons with the Québec Firearms Registration Service (SIAF), even if the weapons were already registered in the former Canadian Firearms
Selling, giving away, or disposing of a firearm
Anyone wishing to transfer or sell a non-restricted firearm is required to submit a transfer notice to the Québec Firearms Registration Service (SIAF).
Notifying the Québec Firearms Registration Service of a change
You must notify the Québec Firearms Registration Service (SIAF) promptly of any changes to the information provided at the time of registration (location of the firearm, telephone number, etc.).
