Selling, giving away, or disposing of a firearm

Anyone wishing to transfer or sell a non-restricted firearm is required to submit a transfer notice to the Québec Firearms Registration Service (SIAF).

Selling, giving away, or disposing of a firearm as a citizen

If you want to sell or give away a firearm, you must file a notice of transfer of ownership. You can also dispose of the weapon by handing it in at a police station.

Transferring, selling, or disposing of a registered firearm as an estate liquidator.
