How to register for fully online French courses for immigrants living in Québec

To register for an online course, you need a computer with high-speed Internet access and your individual reference number from the Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Francisation et de l'Intégration (MIFI).

This number can be found on either of these documents:

  • Québec Selection Certificate;
  • Certificate of acceptance from Québec;
  • Any other personal communication sent by the MIFI.

  1. In the Subject field, select the "Francization programs" option;
  2. In the Message field, specify your request, for example: "I would like to register for the fully online French courses for immigrants living in Québec, but I don't have an individual MIFI reference number."
  3. Enter your name and contact details.
  4. Click on Submit.

To register for fully online courses:

  1. Visit the platform Apprendre le français.
  2. Click on the link Cours de français en ligne pour les personnes immigrantes ou sélectionnées pour immigrer au Québec (Online French courses for immigrants or those selected to immigrate to Québec).
    You will be directed to the Francisation en ligne (FEL) platform (In French only).
  3. Click on the button Demande d’admission (Request for admission).
    Fill in all the fields on the form and submit it.

It is recommended that you click on the Configuration recommandée (Recommended Configuration) link on the home page to ensure that you have the necessary equipment to take the course.
