The Drama program presents the competencies and knowledge that students must develop in each cycle of elementary education. Various documents and tools intended to support teaching and learning are also provided to school staff.

Resources

The pedagogical videos feature teachers and education consultants discussing and sharing their thoughts on certain concepts related to teaching the four arts subjects (visual arts, drama, dance and music) and integrating the cultural dimension into learning. They also include audiovisual footage captured in the classroom during learning activities in one or another of the arts subjects at the elementary and secondary levels. These tools are for anyone with an interest in the teaching of the arts in schools and, in particular, those who teach an arts subject.

Presentation of personal accounts from teachers and education consultants that relate to the Québec Education Program, the Progression of Learning and the Framework for the Evaluation of Learning

Objective: to provide details on the appreciation of artistic works

Presentation of practical examples in situations where students appreciate artistic works

The themes addressed include the key features of the competency, the development of critical and aesthetic faculties as well as cultural references.
