Ministerial Training and Information Sessions

The Ministère organizes training and information sessions for school staff on a regular basis.

During the school year, many training and information sessions are offered by the teams responsible for the various subject areas in general education in the youth sector.

This training invites teachers to re-examine the principles, concepts, processes, approaches and strategies used in the teaching profession, and encourages reflection on preparing for the school year and making adjustments as the year progresses. It contains three modules:

1. Learning and Enabling Learning: Embracing and Implementing Curricula
2. Identifying Students’ Needs to Optimize Planning and Learning
3. Differentiated Instruction Through Pedagogical Flexibility: A Response to Mixed-Ability Classrooms

This year, a new budget measure (15029) has come into force for monitoring early reading skills in Elementary Cycle One students. It is presented in the information capsule, Introduction to Monitoring Early Reading Skills – Budget Measure 15029.
