Intern scholarship payment and tax slip

At the start of your internship, you will receive the first payment corresponding to half of the total amount of the scholarship when your educational institution confirms your registration. The remaining amount will be paid once the successful completion of your internship has been confirmed.

You will receive a tax slip for your income declaration (tax return). Revenu Québec does not consider the scholarship to be taxable income.

If you failed or withdrew from your internship and are repeating it, you must reapply to the scholarship program. Because you will have already received the first payment of the scholarship, you will only receive the second payment.

If you withdraw from your internship within the first 30 days and do not repeat it during the following school year, you will be required to repay the amount received.
