Finding an employability services organization

The Répertoire des organismes spécialisés en employabilité (French only) makes it easy to find organizations that provide employability services. Do a search by region or type of clientele to obtain a list of names.

Services offered by employability services organizations

Services may vary from one organization to another. We recommend that you find out which services you can access before going to an organization.

Most employability services organizations offer the following services:

  • Access to job search tools (computers, fax machines, documentation, etc.)
  • Help with finding a job or going back to school
  • Job readiness activities
  • Help with writing a résumé or cover letter and preparing for interviews
  • Career transition assistance
  • Counselling – guidance
  • Job search clubs
  • Support for entering or re-entering the labour market
  • Internships

Using the services of an employability services organization

It’s easy to use the services of an employability services organization. Once you have found one, call it to schedule an appointment with an employment counsellor. This first meeting will enable the counsellor to identify your needs and direct you to the appropriate services.
