Employment assistance services allow you to receive advice and guidance about career choices. Employment assistance officers will evaluate your needs and can refer you, under certain conditions, to organizations that can offer support.

School boards offer reception, referral, counselling and support services (SARCA) to people living in their territory. Their counsellors can support you in putting together your project, whether it’s returning to school, making a career change or having your skills and training recognized.
Assistance and reference services for literacy and basic training
Info-Alpha is a free service for adults, available by phone, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Info-Apprendre is a phone service that offers information about courses and programs and can direct you to training providers everywhere in Québec. This free service can be reached Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
Information about trades, training programs, educational institutions and student loans and bursaries
Repères offers information about trades, training programs, educational institutions and student loans and bursaries. It is a members-only service that requires a subscription.
Most school boards, cégeps, universities and Services Québec offices are members and can extend the service to their clientele.
