Job description

These individuals are responsible for a class of students and must teach them various concepts. They ensure the conditions in their classroom are conducive to learning. They organize activities to promote the physical, intellectual, and social development of students.

  • Preschool teachers: Prepare children for school in a progressive, fun way through socialization and early learning.
  • Elementary school teachers: Teach students basic subjects (reading, spelling, math, etc.)

Main tasks

  • Teach students through lectures, discussions, audiovisual presentations, and field trips.
  • Prepare the material to be taught to students according to the curriculum established by the Ministère de l'Éducation.
  • Spark student interest and curiosity.
  • Distribute and correct assignments.
  • Prepare, administer, and correct exams.
  • Assess student progress, identify individual needs, and implement remedial programs as required.
  • Discuss results with parents and school authorities.
  • Ensure discipline in the classroom and report behavioural problems to school authorities.
  • Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops.
  • Supervise teacher trainees as required.
