Job description

These individuals coordinate and evaluate operational activities in a variety of areas, including:

  • Forestry and logging
  • Mines and quarries
  • Oil and gas drilling
  • Commercial fishing

Environment

Main tasks

  • Assess the efficiency of production sites and draft reports.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement operational changes (personnel, equipment, techniques, and schedules).
  • Collaborate on production forecasts and planning of raw material extraction sites.
  • Ensure compliance with safety rules and quality standards.
  • Hire and train staff.
  • Negotiate contracts with potential customers or suppliers.
  • Lead related work, such as the construction of access roads and temporary housing, as required.
