Logging Supervisors

Job description

These individuals supervise and coordinate personnel who carry out forestry operations (wood harvesting, construction of forest roads) or silvicultural work (reforestation, thinning, clearing of plantations, etc.). They work for:

  • Tree-felling companies
  • Contractors
  • Government agencies

Main tasks

  • Supervise and coordinate personnel involved in logging operations at various work sites.

  • Resolve work-related problems and recommend improvements.
  • Educate staff about safety, identify risks, and modify work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations in force.
  • Draft reports.
  • Hire and train staff.
