Job description
These individuals supervise and coordinate the work carried out by:
- Senders and receivers
- Storekeepers and parts clerk
- Production Logistics Coordinators
- Purchasing and inventory control clerk
- Dispatchers
- Route planners and crew schedulers
Environment
- Controlled ambient temperature
Main tasks
- Coordinate, assign, and review the clerks’ work.
- Plan, organize, and monitor the organization’s logistics operations.
- Establish work schedules and procedures.
- Resolve work-related problems.
- Write and submit reports.
- Coordinate activities with other supply chain units or divisions.
- Train staff on job duties, safety standards and company policies.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and equipment.
- Perform the same duties as supervised staff as required.
