Job description

These individuals supervise and coordinate the work carried out by:

  • Senders and receivers
  • Storekeepers and parts clerk
  • Production Logistics Coordinators
  • Purchasing and inventory control clerk
  • Dispatchers
  • Route planners and crew schedulers

Environment

  • Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks

  • Coordinate, assign, and review the clerks’ work.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor the organization’s logistics operations.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures.
  • Resolve work-related problems.
  • Write and submit reports.
  • Coordinate activities with other supply chain units or divisions.
  • Train staff on job duties, safety standards and company policies.
  • Order supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of computer systems and equipment.
  • Perform the same duties as supervised staff as required.
