Main tasks
Agricultural and Bio-resource Engineers
- Design and develop machinery, structures, equipment, and systems for agriculture and food processing.
Biomedical Engineers
- Design and develop methods, equipment, and instruments to refine medical diagnostics.
- Design prostheses for the disabled.
- Give advice on the use of medical equipment.
- Install or modify equipment.
Engineering Physicists and Scientists
- Lead research.
- Develop processes, programs, and equipment to expand knowledge in the applied sciences and engineering.
- Develop advanced applications in engineering and science.
Naval Engineers
- Design and develop naval vessels, floating structures, marine power plants, and propulsion systems.
- Oversee the construction, maintenance, and repair of these vessels and systems.
Textile Engineers
- Design and develop processes, equipment, and procedures for the production of fibres, yarns, and textiles.
Advancement and mobility
- Experience leads to senior or supervisory positions.
- These individuals may work in related fields (science, engineering, sales, marketing, management, etc.).
