Water Transport Engineer Officers
Job description
These individuals are responsible for the operation and maintenance of engines, machinery, and appliances on board ships and boats. They monitor and coordinate the work of engine room personnel. They are employed by transportation companies and in the public service.

Advancement and mobility
- Experience, training, and exams make it possible to move from one level of certification to another.
- There is mobility from one workplace to another for positions requiring the same level of certification.
- Experience is required to move into management positions.
