Main tasks
Motor Vehicle Defects Inspectors
- Examine and test motor vehicles.
- Determine defects, especially in the case of accidents.
- Provide expert opinion and testimony about problems and failures.
- Make recommendations to improve licensing policies and road safety standards.
Railway Accident Investigators
- Collect and analyze data to determine the causes of rail accidents.
- Inspect facilities and ensure compliance with current standards.
Airworthiness Inspectors
- Conduct audits of individuals and companies who hold an aircraft operating or repair licence.
- Inspect aircraft and report any defects found.
- Record aircraft suspected of being unsafe.
Weights and Measures Inspectors
- Inspect and test weight and measuring devices and systems.
- Draft inspection reports.
- Recommend corrective measures and means of verification.
Oil and Gas Drilling Rig Auditors
- Verify drilling operations, equipment, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and policies.
- Recommend improvements and corrective measures.
