Job description

These individuals maintain and repair electronic equipment (audio and video systems, computers, office equipment, etc.). They work for:

  • Maintenance and retail companies
  • Maintenance and repair services of electronic equipment manufacturers

Environment

  • Equipment, machinery, tools
  • Electricity

Main tasks

  • Inspect and test electronic equipment, components, and packages.
  • Locate the defective circuit, component, or hardware and determine the reason for the failure.
  • Replace electronic equipment, components, or assemblies.
  • Fill out test and maintenance forms and reports.
  • Supervise, if needed, Maintenance and Repair Service Technicians.
