Ventilation Systems Sanitation Technicians
Job description
These individuals sanitize heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. They inspect and clean ventilation ducts. They work in:

- Controlled ambient temperature

Main tasks
- Treat the inside of ventilation ducts with specialized equipment (rotary brushes, industrial vacuum cleaners, etc.).
- Adjust the negative pressure in the ducts to vacuum the dust.
- Remove dirt and non-volatile contaminants.
- Conduct tests to determine the amount of residual dust in the ducts.
- Perform manual or robotic cleaning.
- Plan the work according to blueprints and diagrams.
- Follow procedures for working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Travel regularly for work.

Sometimes required
- A training certificate in general health and safety on construction sites is often required.
- A Class 5 driver’s licence is often required.
